Telangana government reviews four welfare schemes, including Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Housing Scheme, and ration card distribution.
In-charge Minister for Mahabubnagar C. Damodar Rajanarsimha and Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao held a review meeting on the selection of beneficiaries and implementation of the four schemes in four districts. The Telangana government has announced that it will launch Rythu Bharosa, Indiramma Athmiya Bharosa, Indiramma Housing Scheme, and issue of ration cards (Food Security Cards) on January 26.
Mahabubnagar Collector Viziendira Boyi, Wanaparthy Collector Adarsh Surabhi, Gadwal Collector B.M. Santosh, Nagarkurnool Collector Badavath Santhosh, public representatives and others participated in the review meeting held at the Mahabubnagar Collectorate on Thursday.
Mr. Rajanarsimha asked officials to provide village-wise list of beneficiaries, funds granted to MLAs who could inform people about the government’s welfare schemes and other details when they visit the villages.
Gram Sabha meetings would be held as part of the process to select beneficiaries of some of the schemes. Mr. Rajanarsimha said that MLAs, Indiramma Committees should be made part of the meetings. The Minister said that he and the Excise Minister too would participate in the meetings in a few villages.
Mr. Rao issued directions to panchayat secretaries to conduct thorough field surveys of lands not suitable for cultivation. He enquired if Google mapping is used for the survey.
