Patrick Tan to receive Genome Valley Excellence Award at BioAsia for pioneering work in precision medicine and cancer genomics.
The annual Genome Valley Excellence Award presented as part of BioAsia will be presented this year to Patrick Tan, Executive Director, PRECISE (Precision Health Research, Singapore), National University of Singapore, for his work in the fields of precision medicine, cancer genomics and population health research.
He has played a transformative role in advancing biomedical research and personalised healthcare, particularly through his leadership at PRECISE. His pioneering work in integrating genomics with clinical care has shaped the future of medicine, making healthcare more predictive, personalised and precise. Prof. Tan’s contributions to the fields of cancer genomics and population health are globally recognised. His research has led to ground-breaking discoveries in cancer biology, especially in gastrointestinal cancers, and the identification of novel biomarkers for targeted therapies. The 22nd edition of BioAsia is scheduled from February 24–26 in Hyderabad, the event organisers said in a release on Monday.
