Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) president G.K. Since the warning for heavy rains for six days has come at a time when people have not yet recovered from Cyclone Fengal, the State government should function with utmost attention and the public should act with awareness, he said in a statement.
People are suffering because not enough precautionary measures were taken, Mr. Vasan alleged.
He reiterated that the compensation announced by the State government for those affected by Cyclone Fengal was insufficient and urged for it to be increased.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
