Qatar-Tajikistan joint intergovernmental commission to meet in Doha in May

Ambassador of Tajikistan to Qatar, H E Khisrav Sohibzoda, has said that the meeting of Qatar-Tajikistan Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation will be held in Doha in May this year.

He was talking to media after addressing a press conference on Tajikistan’s presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) for 2020-2021. He said bilateral visits of the highest level were also expected in 2020. Tajikistan would also celebrate a cultural day of Qatar, he said. Earlier addressing the press conference, the Ambassador said that on November 10, 2020, the Republic of Tajikistan assumed the Chairmanship of the SCO from the Russian Federation. The Chairmanship of Tajikistan coincides with the 20th anniversary of the organisation.
