Prime Minister Modi to launch development projects in Visakhapatnam, promising industrial growth and employment opportunities in Anakapalli district.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in a public meeting in Visakhapatnam on January 8 and virtually launch various development projects in Anakapalli district from there, Anakapalli MP C.M. Ramesh has said.
Addressing a meeting at the Collector Office here on Friday, Mr. Ramesh said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government stood for development, and investors were evincing keen interest in investing in the district. The industrial development of the district would provide more employment opportunities to youth.
Describing the NDA government as a ‘double engine sarkar’ with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu leading the State, Mr. Ramesh said that the destiny of the district would change with the setting up of industries, educational institutions, railway projects and construction of roads.
The Prime Minister would lay the foundation stone for the construction of industries to be set up in the district at an estimated cost of ₹2 lakh crore. The industries would be located in Anakapalli, Yelamanchili and Payakaraopeta Assembly constituencies.
He said that plans were also being made for the setting up of industries in Madugula, Chodavaram and Narsipatnam Assembly constituencies. The Godavari Left Canal would bring water to the district in a year. Efforts were also being made for opening of Kendriya Vidyalayas in Yelamanchili and Madugula. The district would be linked through the National Highway projects like the Visakhapatnam-Paderu NH-16 project.
Yelamanchili MLA Sundarapu Vijay Kumar said that two industries proposed to set up in the district would provide employment to 20,000 people.
MLA Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Chairman Peela Govind Satyanarayana, Road Development Corporation Chairman P.
