Pitching sessions by 29 innovators mark the celebration of National Startup Day 2025

Udhyamotsav Investor Connect Program showcases 29 startups pitching innovative solutions to industry leaders for funding opportunities.
The Udhyamotsav ‘Investor Connect’ Program jointly organised by Kumaraguru Institutions and Forge Innovation & Ventures on Thursday, as part of National Startup Day 2025, witnessed pitching sessions by 29 startups.
Diverse and innovative solutions were evaluated by expert panels chaired by industry leaders. Held under the aegis of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MoE’s Innovation Cell) and AICTE, the event envisaged empowering startups in academic institutions with fundraising opportunities and access to investor networks.
Key innovations included Nazizhi Micro-Pyrolyser, a breakthrough in sustainable technology; Smart Saline Level Monitoring System addressing healthcare challenges; 3D-printed Underwater Drone revolutionizing maritime applications; and Sight Aid-Real Time Navigation for the Visually Impaired as an assistive technology for accessibility.
Addressing the inaugural session in virtual mode, T. G. Sitharaman, Chairman of All India Council for Technical Education called for connecting startups with investors and resources to foster growth and accelerate innovations. The AICTE has a system in place for promoting startups, he said.
Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman of AICTE, in his address, emphasised fostering creativity and integration of entrepreneurial education into the curriculum, in order to empower future leaders to tackle global challenges.
B. Lakshmi Meera, vice-president and chief product officer of Forge Innovation and Ventures; and Ezhilarasi, Principal, Kumaraguru College of Technology, also spoke.
An exclusive masterclass ‘Amrit Kaal Advantage: Funding the Future of Startups’ was conducted by Hetal Sonpal, CEO of GRG Gen Nxt Incubator, providing participants with critical insights on securing funding and scaling their ventures.
