Parasurama Raju appointed president of BJP Visakhapatnam Parliamentary Constituency

M.M.N. Parasurama Raju appointed as new Visakhapatnam Parliamentary Constituency president, aims to strengthen BJP presence in the district.
Senior BJP leader M.M.N. Parasurama Raju has been appointed as the new Visakhapatnam Parliamentary Constituency president here on Tuesday.
He will succeed Mr. Raveendra Medapati, who was donning the role for the past few years. Visakhapatnam (North) MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju, Mr. Ravindra and a few others were present during the programme held to announce the decision.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Parasurama Raju expressed his gratitude to the BJP high command for offering him the post. He said that Visakhapatnam district is one of the important districts in Andhra Pradesh, where BJP has a strong presence. He reminded that many party stalwarts have come from Visakhapatnam.
Mr. Parasurama Raju said that he would strive hard for strengthening the party in Visakhapatnam. “By taking suggestions of the senior leaders and coordinating with the party workers, I will try to take forward the party’s objectives”, he said, adding that he would make himself available to the party workers.
Mr. Vishnu Kumar Raju said that Mr. Parasurama Raju has been working for the party for the past 10 years in the city. He has been actively taking part in the party activities and programmes. The MLA also said that Parasurama Raju has worked as Vizag North in-charge, Anakapalli in-charge during elections and also in other roles in West Godavari. His previous role was Araku Parliamentary in-charge, he said.
The MLA also said that Mr. Raju would focus on six constituencies, Visakhapatnam East, West, North, South, Gajuwaka and Bheemunipatnam, and work for strengthening the party.
Mr. Vishnu Kumar Raju said that everyone would get equal opportunities in the party.
