Pollution Control Committee seized ₹10 lakh worth products recently
In spite of a ban in place on Single Use Plastic (SUP) in the Union Territory for well over a year, the prohibited material is still finding its way into markets with officials of the Puducherry Pollution Control Committee (PPCC) seizing over ₹10 lakh worth of SUP products from a city godown in a recent raid. According to officials at the PPCC, during its constant vigil on the stockists and godowns it began tracking a major godown on Louie Pragasam Street. A team, comprising the tahsildar, deputy tahsildar of Puducherry taluk, senior environmental engineer and junior scientific assistant of PPCC, inspected the godown.More Related News
