Mysuru Lok Sabha MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has claimed that there will be no burden on the exchequer if the government of Karnataka provides Transfer of Developmental Rights (TDR) to the erstwhile royal family of Mysuru for acquisition of Bengaluru Palace land for widening the nearby roads.
Mr Yaduveer is a member of the erstwhile royal family of Mysuru.
Speaking to reporters at Suttur near Mysuru, Mr Yaduveer accused the State Government of trying to mislead the public by claiming that the government had to provide compensation to acquire land.
“The State Government does not have to give any compensation. The government has to provide TDR certificates,” Mr Yaduveer claimed. “By issuing TDR certificates, the burden on the State exchequer is zero,” he added.
