New unified platform for settling work disputes soon: Labour Ministry

Doha: The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs has announced the establishment of a unified platform for complaints and disputes in the coming days. 

The platform will allow employees and workers who are subject to the labour law to submit complaints related to work issues. The announcement by the Ministry came on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day, observed worldwide yesterday.  In his speech on the occasion, Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs H E Yousef bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhroo, affirmed the commitment of the State of Qatar to continue its relentless efforts aimed at promoting and protecting workers’ rights and providing a safe and healthy work environment. The Minister said International Workers’ Day is a tribute to all workers due to the interest they receive as partners in the development renaissance in the State of Qatar, expressing deep gratitude and appreciation to the workers who have helped and continue to contribute to the achievement of comprehensive development.
