The Mysuru district Lokayukta unit has completed its probe into the alleged scam in the allotment of 14 sites to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife B. M. Parvathi in lieu of 3.16 acres of her land acquired by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and submitted its investigation report to the Lokayukta police chief here.
The report is presently under scrutiny by the top brass of the Lokayukta police, and law officers. Senior officials were tightlipped about the conclusions arrived at by the probe.
“After scrutiny we will submit the report to the High Court, but presently we cannot give a time frame for that, before the scrutiny of the report is over,” a senior official said.
The Lokayukta police had in the last week of January submitted a status report of the investigation to the High Court. It may be recalled that the High Court had fixed responsibility on the Additional Director-General of Police (ADGP) and Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Lokayukta police, to oversee the investigation and scrutinise reports.
Following directions from the High Court and subsequently the Special Court of Magistrate for criminal cases against former and present MPs and MLAs, the Mysuru district Lokayukta had filed an FIR against Mr. Siddaramaiah, his wife and others under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
