Mosques to open 20 minutes before second call to prayer on Friday

DOHA: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has said that the mosques will open 20 minutes before second call for prayer for Friday prayer starting from this Friday until further notice.

The new decision came in a statement posted by Ministry on Twitter. “Within the framework of continuous coordination between the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and the Ministry of Public Health and following up on the latest developments in public health indicators and in accordance with the procedures and measures taken to address the Covid-19 virus pandemic, it was decided to open the doors of mosques to receive worshipers for the Friday sermon and prayer, 20 minutes before the second call to prayer,” the ministry said.
