Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) recently organised a specialised training course aimed at enhancing the skills of inspectors and veterinarians working within the ministry, ensuring the highest standards of quality in the field of food safety.
The course covered the latest global techniques and methods used for calibrating inspection and measurement equipment. This ensures the accuracy of results obtained from devices used in food safety inspections. A total of 162 inspectors and veterinarians from the Ministry of Public Health participated in the training.
The training, delivered by an internationally accredited organisation, included both theoretical and practical lectures, alongside the formation of workgroups to discuss and apply new concepts. Evaluative tests were conducted at the end of each training day to assess the benefit gained from the content presented. At the conclusion of the intensive course, certificates of completion were awarded in the presence of representatives from the Food Safety Department.
Wasan Abdulla Al Baker, Director of the Food Safety Department at the Ministry of Public Health, stated that the course aimed to enhance accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness in the field of food safety inspections. She noted that the training directly contributes to more precise decision-making during inspection and measurement processes, thereby ensuring food safety.
