Ninety-six persons with disabilities received welfare assistance worth ₹37.52 lakh as part of the celebration.
Collector M. Pradeep Kumar commended the District Differently Abled Welfare Office for helping Tiruchi stand first in issuing identity cards to people with disabilities to avail of welfare assistance. With this, they have covered all the people with disabilities in Tiruchi, he said. These identity cards will help the candidates get government benefits.
