The sub-classification will be based on the 2011 Census, with Andhra Pradesh as a single unit for implementation, he says, adding that it will be applied at the district level from 2026. The exercise done in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directives will ensure equitable distribution of benefits among the SC sub-groups, he says.
