‘Maaman’: First look of Soori and Aishwarya Lekshmi film with ‘Vilangu’ fame Prashanth Pandiyaraj out
We had previously reported that Soori will star in a film titled Maaman, directed by Prashanth Pandiyaraj ofVilangu fame, co-starring Aishwarya Lekshmi. The film’s first look images have been released by the makers.
Soori took to social media to share the first look images. While one has Soori in his comic best along with the film’s extended cast, the second image features the actor from an action sequence.
Also starring Rajkiran in a pivotal role, the film went on floors in December last year with a pooja ceremony that was attended by the cast and crew members of the film. Music director Hesham Abdul Wahab, known for composing for Malayalam films like Hridayam and Sesham Mike-il Fathima, and Telugu films like Kushi and Hi Nanna who is making his Tamil debut with Arjun Das and Aditi Shankar’s Once More, is also composing music forMaaman.
The rest of the film’s technical crew consists of Maharaja,Love Today and Lubber Pandhu-fame cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, and Kottukkaali and Vilangu-fame editor Ganesh Siva.
The film, which marks Soori’s fifth outing as a hero (including the two Viduthalai films), will be produced by Kumar Karupannan of Lark Studios, the banner that backed the actor’s recent release, Garudan.
Prashanth made his directorial debut with the 2017 GV Prakash Kumar-starrer Bruce Lee. However, it was the 2022 ZEE5 investigative thriller series, Vilangu, headlined by Vemal, that turned out to be a breakout title for Prashanth.
