Kris Jenner is getting candid about the criticism she endured for welcoming kids in her 40s.
During a new episode of her daughter Khloé Kardashian’s podcast “Khloé in Wonder Land,” Jenner, 69, opened up about how it was considered “taboo” when she got pregnant with more children later in life.
The famous momager gave birth to her two youngest daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, at age 40 and 41, respectively. The mom-of-six also shares Kourtney Kardashian, 45, Kim Kardashian, 44, Khloé, 40 and Rob Kardashian, 37 with ex-husband Robert Kardashian.
“It was almost whispered about,” Jenner said of giving birth in her 40s. “Like, taboo. Like, ‘She’s 40? And she’s going to have a baby? Is she nuts?’”
Jenner continued, “And then it was, obviously, safe to have babies at that age, but everybody thought there was also some danger to it. Like, ‘What’s going on? How could she have a baby in her 40s? Aren’t all her eggs gone?’ It was very controversial.”
