Former talk show host Wendy Williams was taken from a New York assisted-living facility on Monday after she dropped a note from her room begging for help.
The 60-year-old Williams dropped a note that read “Help! Wendy!” around 11:15 a.m. from her fifth-story room, according to the New York Post.
Wiliams ― who was diagnosed with dementia and aphasia in February 2024 ― reportedly waved her arms to a Post reporter while speaking on the phone.
A short time later, she was photographed walking out of the facility surrounded by a group of police officers who helped her into a waiting ambulance.
She was then transported to Lenox Hill Hospital for an independent cognitive examination, according to the New York Daily News.
