Kayvon Thibodeaux week to week after wrist surgery in major Giants blow
NY Post
So much for the Giants’ prosperity. That didn’t even reach the first practice of the week.
Big Blue will be without Kayvon Thibodeaux for at least the next few weeks, it appears.
The young defensive end underwent wrist surgery Wednesday morning and is being listed as week to week, according to coach Brian Daboll.
It’s uncertain how long Thibodeaux, the fifth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, will be sidelined.
Daboll declined to offer a timeline or say if Injured Reserve is an option. It isn’t believed to be a season-ending injury.
NFL Network reported the injury is a fractured scaphoid bone in his wrist. The scaphoid bone is one of the eight small bones in the wrist. It helps coordinate motion and stability in the wrist joint.
The first day of the rest of Daniel Jones’ dwindling time with the Giants arrived Wednesday, with Jones in the building, in the meetings, on the practice field (although not doing very much) and not at all part of the game plan for the next game, relegated to a non-participant role for the remainder of the season.
