Doha: The General Foundation for the Cultural Village (Katara) has concluded its four-day program of cultural and entertainment activities to celebrate Eid Al Adha, on Katara Corniche and in its various facilities, amid a large turnout of visitors, featuring a rich and diverse package of cultural events and recreational activities, in addition to artistic and heritage and fireworks displays.
The curtain came down on the Aarda activities yesterday, with its artistic paintings inspired by Qatari heritage, police music performances, besides the free drawing event that was held on Katara Corniche.
In this context, visual artist Maryam Al Mulla expressed her happiness at participating in Kataras Eid celebrations and interacting directly with art lovers, noting the importance of these participations that motivate the artists to express themselves artistically and enhance communication with the public.
The handicrafts market, with its various handicrafts, also attracted a wide range of visitors. to acquire various handicraft pieces inspired by different cultures of peoples.
On the other hand, Katara Eid gifts continued to be distributed from inside cars at specific points in the streets of Katara, while popular bands presented their distinctive performances on Katara Corniche, which attracted a large audience from the communities residing in Qatar, as the bands performances varied for a number of countries from Asia and Africa continents, namely China and Syria.
