Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar reunite for rom-com "Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri" in 2026.
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan and director-producer Karan Johar’s much-awaited collaboration is finally happening. The film, which marks Kartik’s return to the rom-com genre, is titled Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. It will be helmed by Satya Prem Ki Katha director Sameer Vidwans and produced under the banner of Dharma Productions. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in 2026.
In a collaborative Instagram post, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kartik Aaryan, and Namah Pictures shared an announcement teaser for their upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The 34-second teaser features Kartik Aaryan’s voiceover, where he humorously recounts his last three failed relationships and vows to make the fourth one work.
The release date and the name of the lead actress have not yet been disclosed. After the success of Satyaprem Ki Katha, Kartik will once again collaborate with Namah Pictures. With Dharma Productions also joining the project, the collaboration has only grown bigger and better.
The film is making headlines for several reasons, primarily for reuniting Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar after reports of their fallout in 2022. The fallout surfaced when Dharma Productions announced a recasting for its upcoming Dostana 2, which originally starred Kartik and Janhvi Kapoor. Though neither acknowledged a dispute, rumors suggested otherwise.
Last year, in August, Karan Johar revealed that he was working with Kartik on another project. When asked by the media about collaborating again, Karan said: “We gave one attempt, and for various reasons, it didn’t fructify. However, we have been in conversations to do something, and hopefully, this one will materialize. It’s something we are very excited about.”
He also praised Kartik, saying: “Kartik has given us films that resonate with the entire country and brought people back to the theatres.”
Aaryan was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, a massive box-office success. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film starred Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri in prominent roles.
