‘Kannappa’: First look of Prabhas from Vishnu Manchu’s film out
The makers of Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming pan-India film Kannappahave now unveiled the first look of Prabhas. According to the poster, Prabhas’ character is named Rudra.
A statement from the makers calls his character, “a figure of immense power and spiritual significance. Described as the raging storm, the guide through times past and future and is ruled by Lord Shiva’s command, the character embodies a perfect blend of divinity and strength.”
The poster features Prabhas standing atop a hill, adorned with Rudraksha beads around his neck and holding a staff in his hand with a statue of Lord Shiva in the background.
Kannappa, a magnum opus attempt to tell the story of a Shiva devotee, also features superstars Mohanlal and Akshay Kumar in prominent roles. Actors Kajal Aggarwal, Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Madhoo, and Tammannaah Bhatia are also set to play important roles.
Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M Mohan Babu, Sheldon Chau is the cinematographer of the film while Anthony Gonsalvez is the editor. The film’s music is composed by Stephen Devassy.
The film, originally made in Telugu, is dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Kannappa releases in theatres on April 25, 2025.
