Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan reunite for a pan-India psychological thriller, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpse from set.
Kangana Ranaut has officially begun shooting for her next film, reuniting with her Tanu Weds Manu co-star R Madhavan. The actress, who recently starred in Emergency, shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the set of the untitled project on her Instagram story. The clapperboard revealed that the film, directed by Vijay and produced by R Ravindran of Trident Arts, began production on January 25.
Contrary to fan speculation, the film is not Tanu Weds Manu 3 but a pan-India psychological thriller, a project Kangana had announced in 2023. Expressing her excitement, she wrote, “Nothing is more delightful than being on a film set.”
The project marks her second collaboration with director Vijay, following the critically acclaimed Thalaivii. Kangana had previously shared her enthusiasm for working with Vijay, calling the script “unusual and exciting.”
R Madhavan and Kangana, who delivered stellar performances in Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel, will now share screen space in a new genre. Madhavan recently addressed rumors about Tanu Weds Manu 3, stating he had not been approached for the project and jokingly hinted he might not be part of it.
The psychological thriller, which will feature music composed by GV Prakash Kumar, is set for a bilingual release in Hindi and Tamil.
