Kadapa SP inaugurates ‘Annual Police Sports and Games Meet 2024’

Kadapa SP emphasizes sports for physical fitness and mental agility, enhancing performance at work, at annual police sports meet.
Kadapa Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Vidya Sagar Naidu on Friday urged his departmental staff to display the spirit of sportsmanship.
Addressing the police personnel after inaugurating the ‘Annual Police Sports and Games Meet 2024’ at the parade grounds in Kadapa, Mr. Naidu laid emphasis on sports in ensuring physical fitness and mental agility, thus enhancing perfomance at the workplace.
Mr. Naidu handed over the sports torch to national hockey player and Armed Reserve Head Constable M.S. Vijayabhaskar, who lit the flame. Earlier, he released balloons and pigeons in the air to signal the launch of the three-day annual event.
Cops from the six police divisions viz., Kadapa, Mydukur, Proddatur, Pulivendula, Jammalamadugu and Armed Reserve converged at the venue to participate in events like Kabaddi, Volleyball, Football, Athletics (100m, 400m and 800m run, high jump, long jump), Cricket and Shuttle Badminton.
Additional SP K. Prakash Babu (Admin) and B. Ramanaiah (AR), Deputy SPs Muralidhar (AR), A. Venkateswarlu (Kadapa), Bhaktavatsalam (Proddatur), Venkateswara Rao (Jammalamadugu) and P. Rajendra Prasad (Mydukur) took part in the event.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
