Model and golf influencer Bri Teresa cut ties with Honey Birdette after the lingerie company used a male model to promote its new lingerie line.
DuPree, who identifies as non-binary, posed in the lingerie for an ad on Honey Birdette’s Instagram page. In the caption for the post, the brand said, "Red curtain moment! @jakedupree stars in the RUBY 3 piece set." Gabriel Hays is an associate editor for Fox News Digital.
The post also noted that featuring DuPree in ladies underwear was part of Honey Birdette’s effort to promote inclusivity and the LGBTQ community. It added, "UPDATE: Honey Birdette fosters an inclusive and diverse environment, and we will continue to use our voice to empower and support the LGBTQ+ community, women, and anyone who wants to feel fabulous in our lingerie."The post was a far cry from the brand’s old tagline: "By women, for women."
