Saurav Ghosal discusses hip injury, uncertain recovery timeline, and recent squash championship win in Chennai.
Saurav Ghosal, who had withdrawn due to a hip injury from the ongoing Indian Tour Squash Championship here, said on Tuesday that it’s an injury that has gradually developed over time.
Waiting for clarity
“At least, from what the doctors are telling me, it’s not something which has happened in one movement or something. It’s something which has kind of gradually come into play.
“We are waiting on a few things to transpire. So, I’m hopeful that I will have a clearer idea maybe later this week or early next week. We’ve done all the scans and all of that.
Unable to pinpoint
“It could be either (major or minor). So, that’s what we don’t know. We are not able to pinpoint exactly what it is. We will know for sure in two months, but that’s a long time. So, we are trying to see if we can figure it out earlier. I am waiting, basically. Life is in limbo right now. I’m kind of in a stalemate. So, I’m hopeful that things will fall in place, and I’ll have some good news in the next week or so,” he said at the Indian Squash and Triathlon Academy on the sidelines of the tournament.
