II PU examination in Mysuru district begins with strict arrangements, webcasting, and monitoring for transparency and smooth conduct.
The II PU examination got off to a start in Mysuru district on Saturday with elaborate arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the examination across 50 centres, including 27 in Mysuru city.
As many as 35,382 students had enrolled for the examination in the district. The webcasting of the entire examination process was arranged this year to ensure transparency with the monitoring being made at the control room set up in the office of the Deputy Commissioner here.
Deputy Director of Pre-University Education (DDPU) Mariswamy and other officials visited the exam centres and supervised the arrangements and the conduct of the examination.
CCTV surveillance was in place besides continuous monitoring of the examination by a dedicated team of officials.
At every exam centre, the students were made to undergo screening, and mobile phones and electronic gadgets like smartwatches and earphones were barred inside the exam hall. The students wrote the Kannada language paper on Saturday.

The High Court of Karnataka has quashed criminal proceedings initiated against two members of the faculty and seven students of Centre for Management Studies (CMS) of Jain (Deemed-to-be) University on the allegation that they had insulted B.R. Ambedkar and Dalit communities in a skit enacted during the inter-collegiate Jain University Youth Fest-23 held in February 2023 in the city.
