BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy granted conditional bail in cases related to ruckus at DRC meeting.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy was granted conditional bail by the Second Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Karimnagar, M Hemalatha on Tuesday (January 14, 2025) in two cases registered against him by the Karimnagar one town police on charges of creating ruckus at the Sunday’s District Review Committee (DRC) meeting following his verbal spat with Jagtial MLA Dr M Sanjay.
Mr Kaushik Reddy was arrested by the Karimnagar police from Hyderabad on Monday based on separate complaints filed against him by the Karimnagar RDO, and the Personal Assistant of Jagtial MLA Dr M. Sanjay.
He was booked under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) including Section 132 (assault or criminal force against a public servant).
According to sources, Mr Reddy was produced before the Judicial Magistrate at the latter’s residence in Karimnagar on Tuesday morning. He was granted conditional bail and asked to appear before the police when called for questioning as part of investigation.
