Hotel quarantine for travellers from six countries effective from April 29: MOPH

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health announced that its new directive of mandatory hotel quarantine for incoming travellers from six Asian countries will come into effect from Thursday, April 29.
On its social media account, the ministry stated that "the measures are effective from Thursday, April 29 at 12am (00:00 hours) Doha time." Due to the emergence of a new strain of the "Covid-19" virus in India, and in order to preserve public health in the State of Qatar, it was decided that no exceptions to the hotel quarantine policy will apply and that the following measures should be implemented for travellers coming from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Philippines, whether they are travelling through direct flight or via other countries (transit).
