Labour Minister emphasizes officials' responsibility to address public grievances with care, humanity, and efficiency for effective problem-solving.
Labour Minister Santosh Lad has said that if officials hear grievances of the public with concern, care and humanity, citizens will feel that half of their problems have been solved.
Speaking during the eighth district-level Janata Darshan in Dharwad on Monday, the Minister said that officials should ensure people-friendly administration by maintaining good rapport with the public.
They should ensure that benefits of the government schemes reach the eligible beneficiaries properly, he said.
He said that the officials concerned should not disappoint citizens who come to Janata Darshan with a hope of getting their problems solved.
He asked them to make the maximum efforts to resolve the issues on the spot itself but to recommend them to the government, if needed.
During the Janata Darshan that lasted over five hours, the Minister received a total of 200 applications pertaining to various grievances and assured the applicants of redressing their issues.
Of these applications, 61 were related to the Revenue Department, 33 to Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC), 16 to Zilla Panchayat and 88 related to other departments.
