GCO: Qatar committed to development efforts in Yemen

Doha: Qatar has provided Yemen close to $195m from 2013 to 2020, the Government Communications Office (GCO) said yesterday in an infographic posted on its official Twitter handle.
On Wednesday, Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani directed the allocation of $100m to support UN food efforts in Yemen. “The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani directed the allocation of $100m in support of the efforts of the United Nations World Food Program in Yemen to support food security and to help prevent famine, and to assist the United Nations relief and urgent humanitarian programs to alleviate the exacerbation of the human tragedy in Yemen,” QNA reported on Wednesday.More Related News
