Veteran communist and former Minister G. Sudhakaran has bagged the Bharathan Smaraka Sarga Prathibha Award instituted by the World Dramatic Study Centre and Film Institute (WDSCFI), Alappuzha. The award was presented to him at a function in Alappuzha recently. Mr. Sudhakaran also inaugurated the distribution of the 14th Short Film Awards instituted by the WDSCFI in memory of filmmaker Bharathan. WDSCFI director Aryad Bharghavan presided.

SRI-B has established Samsung Innovation Campuses in seven other institutes, including BNM Institute of Technology, Cambridge Institute of Technology (main & north campuses), Don Bosco Institute of Technology, KLE Institute of Technology, RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) Bengaluru, as well as one in IIIT-Kurnool, and trained over 800 students with the necessary skills to secure relevant opportunities in the field of technology.
