Chief Minister Revanth Reddy lays foundation for new Osmania General Hospital building with helipad for heli-ambulances.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lay the foundation stone on January 31 for the new building of the Osmania General Hospital, which will also have a helipad to support heli-ambulances to bring in emergency cases and organ transportation.
At a high-level review of the construction of the hospital, at his residence here, the Chief Minister suggested that complete regulations should be followed in the construction of the Hospital building with hostel buildings to be built separately for the teaching staff, male and female students.
He asserted that the new hospital with state-of-the-art facilities should meet the needs of the people for the next 100 years. Due care should be taken to ensure space for parking, landscape, road network and underpass to connect the internal roads to facilitate hassle-free vehicular traffic to the hospital.
He said enough space should be created for dormitories, fire stations, canteens, toilets and STPs on the hospital premises. Since children are settling abroad and it may take 2 or 3 days to arrive in the city in case of parents passing away, the CM suggested the establishment of mortuary and body freezing boxes with modern facilities.
Recommending several changes in the designs of the construction of the new hospital building, he suggested the creation of facilities for a pleasant atmosphere for the patients and their attendants. Minister for Health Damodar Rajanarsimha, Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy were among present.
