Former Disney Channel Star Shot In The Eye During Clay Pigeon Shooting

"Even Stevens" star Christy Carlson Romano shared on Instagram that someone "unsafely fired in the wrong direction" but said she can still see normally.

Actor Christy Carlson Romano said she was shot in the face while taking her husband clay pigeon shooting in Austin, Texas.

“So I got shot in the eye,” Romano, who is known for her roles in “Even Stevens” and “Kim Possible,” said Saturday in a video posted on Instagram. “It was not fun.”

In the video, Romano shows off the wound under her right eye. Her eye appears to be bloodshot as well. She said in the video that she is safe but that there is still a “fragment” inside her cheek and forehead.

In the video’s caption, Romano said she and her husband were celebrating his birthday when another party “unsafely fired in the wrong direction” and shot Romano in the face. She said her husband “sprung into action” and “assessed” her, and then they went to the hospital.

“I was hit in 5 places, one was less than an inch from hitting me directly in my right eye,” Romano wrote in the caption.
