Cate Blanchett got married a little under 30 years ago ― but she’s missing a few mementos from her big day.
The “Black Bag” star stopped by “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Friday and told the host all about her wedding day ― and why she only has a single photo from her nuptials.
“When we got married, we had absolutely no money,” Blanchett said of her wedding to husband Andrew Upton, which took place 27 years ago. “We couldn’t have a photographer, and we had two friends who were photographers.”
But as it turns out, the two friends had a little too much fun and didn’t quite fulfill their photographer duties.
“One guy got so drunk he forgot to load film in the camera,” she said, laughing. “And the other one had such a good time that he didn’t take any pictures. And, as a result, we have one picture of our wedding. That’s all we have.”
