Foreign Minister meets with a delegation from the Taliban

Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met this morning in Doha with a Taliban delegation headed by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

During the meeting, the latest security and political developments in Afghanistan were reviewed, emphasis was placed on protecting civilians, intensifying efforts to achieve national reconciliation, working for a comprehensive political settlement, and a peaceful transfer of power, with the importance of preserving the gains made by the Afghan people.
