Fireworks, a skating party and stilt-walkers at Prince's Island Park are all part of a city party that will celebrate the arrival of 2025 in Calgary.
Another great spot to watch the fireworks will be just north of the park in Lot 59, which will be filled with food trucks, fire pits and inflatable curling starting at 8 p.m..
All the activities means vehicles will not be allowed in the lot, instead the south side of eastbound Memorial Drive between 10th Street and 4A Street will be closed off for parking until 1 a.m. January 1.
The city event is free for all to enjoy in person. Fireworks can also be watched live online.
The eight-minute-long sky show will be coordinated to Canadian music on CJSW.
Families get the midnight experience twelve hours early at Telus Spark.
The Noon Year’s Eve party has been a tradition for several years, with a balloon drop at 12 p.m., followed by a dance party and science experiment showcase every hour on the hour until the science centre closes at 2pm.
