The London Knights ran up the score against the Niagara IceDogs Friday night at Canada Life Place, earning a 9-4 win.
London opened up an 8-0 lead by the middle of the second period, lead by captain Denver Barkey, who scored two goals and added two assists.
The win keeps the Knights on top of the OHL standings. They’re the first team to 30 wins this season. The next closest team is Windsor, which has won 27 games so far.
London will likely have some reinforcements for their next game as well. Their next game isn’t until Jan. 10, so all of their players competing at the World Juniors should be available by then, including Canada’s Easton Cowan, Sam Dickinson, and Oliver Bonk.
