The terrifying incident was caught on the victim’s dash cam video, and a white Toyota Rav 4 can be seen intentionally chasing and eventually ramming the victim’s vehicle.
The incident occurred Dec. 30 around 1 p.m. on Highway 11 and Highway 65 in the Temiskaming Shores area.
"The Temiskaming Ontario Provincial Police is seeking assistance from the public in locating anyone having video/dash camera footage in relation to collisions and erratic driving" in the incident, police said Friday in a news release.
"After the collision, the OPP made several attempts to stop the vehicle which resulted in the deployment of a spike belt. The suspect vehicle was stopped, and the driver was arrested. There were no injuries reported however the driver was transported to a local hospital as a precaution."
The suspect from Englehart, Ont., has been charged with two counts of assaulting police with a weapon, assaulting police causing bodily harm, criminal harassment, mischief endangering life, resisting arrest, assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, fleeing police and two counts of disobeying court orders.
