Doha Metro to operate at 20% capacity; no service on weekends

Doha: Qatar Rail announced that Doha Metro will reduce capacity to 20% during weekdays and will suspend operation during weekends as part of the restriction imposed in Qatar to prevent the spread of Covid-19 second wave. 

Yesterday Qatar Cabinet reimposed many Covid-19 precautionary measures as the cases have been steadily increasing and more people testing positive are needing fossilisation in intensive care. “In view of the precautionary measures taken to reduce the spread of Covid-19, Doha Metro, metrolink and metroexpress services are operating at a 20% capacity from Sunday to Thursday,” Qatar Rail tweeted.
