Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay on Saturday (March 8, 2025) alleged that the DMK government had failed to ensure the safety of women in the State and vowed to unseat it from power in 2026 Assembly elections.
In a video message, Mr. Vijay extended International Women’s Day greetings and said: “Women can realise happiness only if they feel safe. When there is no safety for women, it is unlikely they will be happy. I can understand the feelings of women in Tamil Nadu. All of us together elected this DMK government. But now, we have realised how they have cheated us.”
“Change is the only constant. On this International Women’s Day, we should resolve to unseat the DMK government, which has failed to ensure the safety of women,” he added.
