Delhi voters rejected AAP as it failed to deliver, says Union Minister Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar. The AAP government has failed to improve drinking water, sanitation and road network in the national capital, he says.
Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar on Saturday said the Delhi voters rejected the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader Arvind Kejriwal in the Assembly elections as they failed to develop the State in the last 10 years.
Addressing the media here after declaration of the election results, Mr. Chandra Sekhar said Mr. Kejriwal could not improve sanitation and road network in the national capital. The AAP government could not improve drinking water facility for the people of Delhi, he added.
Mr. Chandra Sekhar further said the campaign of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the BJP also influenced the voters of Delhi. He said the people of Delhi pondered over Mr. Naidu’s question on how would it be possible for Mr. Kejriwal to distribute money without creating wealth.
Mr. Kejriwal forayed into politics saying he would prevent corruption, but he himself was caught in allegations of corruption, he said.
