Couple found dead in Karnataka, allege harassment by money-lenders in note

The couple left behind a letter saying they were being continually harassed by money-lenders. They had taken a loan to support their shop in Metgud village.
A kirana shop owner and his wife were found dead in a village in Mudhol taluk in Bagalkot district of Karnataka on January 23.
Passers-by found the bodies of Mallappa Lali, 55, and his wife Mahadevi Lali, 50, near the Ghataprabha river bank in the morning, and informed the police.
Police sent the bodies for post-mortem.
