Former CM Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy discusses constituency redivision and his political future at BJP Nellore press conference.
Former Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy said that the redivision of constituencies based on population census is likely to be done very soon during a press conference held at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nellore district office on Monday.
When asked about his re-entry into active politics as an MLA or MLC, the BJP leader expressed hope that he will appear before the people in a key position at the right time. He further explained the steps taken by him during his tenure as Chief Minister for the development of Nellore district.
He mentioned about the establishment of a Medical College in Nellore, a hundred-bed hospital in Atmakur, and setting up of two revenue divisions as well as the setting up of two municipalities in the district. He also referred to the hospital development programmes undertaken during his tenure.
“Getting suitable posts or losing them is not in our hands, but to serve the people while in office is more important. There is no truth in the rumours that I was given an MLC or MLA seat,” said Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy.
“No post in the life is permanent,” he said. BJP district president Seepareddy Vamsidhar Reddy, national Kisan Morcha vice-president Sannapureddy Suresh Reddy, BJP State vice-president Vakati Narayana Reddy, BJP State secretary Kandikatla Rajeshwari, State working committee members Bharat Kumar Yadav and Anjaneya Reddy participated in this meeting.
Later, Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy met the former Chief Minister at the R&B Guest House. They both discussed several aspects including the distribution of Godavari and Krishna waters between two Telugu States and also issues related to irrigation. When Kiran Kumar Reddy was the Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Anam served as Finance Minister.
