CM for prioritising poorest of the poor in sanctioning Indiramma houses
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to accord first priority to the “poorest of the poor” in the allotment of Indiramma houses.
Persons with Disabilities, agricultural labourers, farmers without irrigation land and sanitation workers, should be on the first list of beneficiaries, he said at a review meeting on progress of Indiramma houses on Friday.
He said that since the government had decided to prioritise beneficiaries with their own land in the first phase, officials concerned should take adequate measures as a safeguard. Panchayat secretary of the respective villages as well as mandal-level officials should be made responsible for implementation of the scheme besides leveraging technology.
Accordingly, officials should not give scope for any deficiencies in the mobile app proposed for Indiramma houses and at the same time, steps should be taken to avoid any inconvenience. Simultaneously, efforts should be made to prevent departmental lapses.
Officials were directed to take steps to provide special quota to residents of tribal areas and those living in ITDA areas. Steps should also be taken to ensure that beneficiaries interested in constructing additional rooms should be allowed to do so.
He wanted the Housing Department to be strengthened for effective implementation of the scheme, and asked the officials to appoint separate officials and staff for this.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
