
CM directs officials to be on alert in view of heavy rain

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directs officials to address heavy rain impacts in city, ensuring relief measures and coordination among departments.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the officials of different departments to be on alert in view of the heavy rain that lashed the city on Thursday.
Taking note of reports of water logging in low-lying areas in the city, the Chief Minister directed officials to take steps to ensure that people were not inconvenienced because of the heavy rain. The Chief Minister instructed Chief Secretary A. Santhi Kumari to review the situation constantly so that necessary relief measures could be taken up in time. Police and GHMC officials were directed to work with coordination to clear the water logged areas and see that there were no interruptions in power supply and movement of vehicles.
Steps should be taken to restore power supply in the affected areas while relief measures should be taken up for people stranded in low lying areas. The Chief Minister wanted the district administration to be kept on alert in view of the sudden downpour.
