Chittoor district police win ABCD Award for Best Crime Detection, recognized for cracking ATM theft case with inter-state suspect.
Chittoor district police have been honoured with the prestigious ABCD (Award for Best Crime Detection) Award, conferred by the Andhra Pradesh State Police Department, in recognition of their exemplary crime investigation efforts.
The Chittoor Sub-Division, West Circle police achieved the first position for successfully apprehending an inter-state suspect involved in an ATM theft that occurred on July 7 in Gudipala mandal of Chittoor district. They won one lakh rupees cash prize for cracking the ATM theft case and detaining the suspect.
The award was presented at DGP office in Vijayawada, presided over by DGP Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, alongside senior officials, to Chittoor Superintendent of Police V.N. Manikantha Chandolu and police personnel from the West Circle Police and technical staff.
The DGP commended the Chittoor district police for their prompt collection of case details and crucial evidence, in addition to their effective deployment of technology.
