Children’s Parliament held in Kochi

Kochi's Children's Parliament by Kudumbashree discusses Digital India, healthcare, child-friendly panchayats, and education-for-all campaigns.
A ‘Children’s Parliament’ was organised for students of Kochi on Sunday. The event, organised by Kudumbashree, began by offering homage to late Sitaram Yechuri, former CPI(M) general secretary.
Discussions on Digital India, healthcare programmes, child-friendly panchayats, and education-for-all campaigns were held.
P. R. Ranish, chairperson of the development standing committee of the Kochi Corporation, inaugurated the programme. Anusree Rajesh, Kudumbashree district mission coordinator T.M. Rajeena, K.C. Anumol, Vinu Joseph and Mary Mini spoke.

The Karnataka government has drafted a comprehensive master plan for the integrated development of Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the State’s highest revenue-generating temple managed by the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Department. The redevelopment initiative is estimated to cost around ₹254 crore and aims to enhance infrastructure and facilities for devotees.
