Chicago police officers released from hospital after being wounded during shooting

Video shared by the Chicago Police Department shows the officers being brought out by hospital staff, where they were greeted with a salute from about 50 of their coworkers.
"They are expected to have a full recovery," Chicago Police superintendent David Brown said at a news conference. "We're really grateful for all of the support of the nurses and doctors at Mount Sinai for their great work in getting the officers back on their feet." According to authorities, the injured officers responded at approximately 7:23 a.m. Sunday to a ShotSpotter alert and multiple calls of shots fired near the 1500 block of South Lawndale.More Related News
