There is an increase in cases of marijuana laced with fentanyl in numerous states, according to a Washington doctor, making it far more potent.
Wenzinger said the concern of fentanyl-laced marijuana is a recent phenomenon. Police have claimed to find marijuana laced with fentanyl in Alabama, Illinois, Louisiana and New York.
